Join fellow Aulani Guests for an exclusive excursion to a slice of tropical paradise on Oahu's North Shore. This special site is rich with Hawaiian history and is a repository for Hawaiian spirituality and traditions. Along with local expert hosts, you will enjoy a guided walk through the botanical gardens of this vast tranquil setting. En route, children will have the opportunity to stop at various staging areas to try their hand at playing ancient Hawaiian games. Upon returning to the visitor's center, you will be treated to lunch as well as a hands-on Hawaiian activity with a local Aunty. Waimea Valley is a living example of an ahupua'a (traditional Hawaiian land division that extends from the mountain to the shore), and here you will learn just how deeply embedded this tradition is in today's Hawaiian culture.
